Role Description

The VP Operations is responsible for the overall leadership of all operational activities at Palziv’s production sites in Israel, including planning, production, logistics, and shipments.

The role includes full responsibility for managing human, technological, and physical resources in order to ensure achievement of the organization’s objectives: delivering customer orders on time, at high quality, and at optimal cost.

In addition, the VP Operations will serve as a key professional function for monitoring, supervising, and sharing knowledge with the production sites abroad, and will lead the organization’s investment and engineering development programs.

Areas of Responsibility

Ongoing Operations Management

Lead the planning, production, logistics, and shipping functions across all production sites in Israel.

Overall responsibility for meeting production output, quality, schedule, and budget targets.

Implement and embed continuous improvement processes and operational innovation.

Human Capital Management in Operations

Overall responsibility for operations employees, including recruitment, training, professional development, and employee retention.

Foster an organizational culture of excellence, safety, collaboration, and commitment to objectives.

Inter-Site Control and Collaboration

Provide professional leadership in monitoring operational processes at sites abroad.

Develop and implement procedures, methodologies, and tools for effective and consistent management across sites.

Initiate and lead cross-site projects to improve operational performance at the global level.

Investment Programs and Engineering Development Management

Plan, monitor, and execute investment projects in equipment, systems, and infrastructure.

Lead engineering development and technology upgrades according to production needs.

Coordinate and synchronize between engineering, production, procurement, and maintenance units.

Quality

Ensure an optimal balance between quality requirements and the needs of production, logistics, and the market.

Lead the implementation of quality work processes and continuous improvement of work standards.

Process Standardization and Performance Improvement

Lead initiatives to reduce variability between sites, synchronize production processes, and implement best practices.

Working with Corporate Management and Business Unit Managers

Coordinate and execute operational work plans in accordance with business needs.

Provide ongoing reports to management on performance, challenges, risks, and solutions.

Provide professional and logistical support in advancing the company’s strategy.

 

Key Working Interfaces

Internal: Corporate CEO, senior management, procurement, engineering, maintenance, quality, human resources, and finance.

External: Suppliers, subcontractors, shipping companies, government bodies, and relevant authorities.

Direct reports: Production managers, supply chain, production planning and control, and maintenance.

Minimum Requirements

  • Academic degree in engineering, industrial engineering and management, or another relevant field.
  • At least 10 years of experience in operations and/or production management in industrial organizations, of which at least 5 years must be in a senior management role.
  • Full proficiency in Hebrew and English, written and spoken.
