Fleet Manager – Palziv Israel

What You Will Do 

1. Fleet Management 

• Full responsibility for the maintenance, availability, and safety of all vehicles and forklifts 
• Manage maintenance schedules, periodic inspections, and insurance processes for the entire fleet 
• Monitor repairs, servicing, and ongoing maintenance both in-house and at external garages 
• Manage operating and maintenance cost reports, mileage tracking, and fuel consumption 
• Maintain ongoing communication and coordination with leasing companies throughout the vehicle lifecycle 
• Oversee installation, maintenance, and operation of fleet technology systems (tracking, telematics, driver monitoring, and safety systems) 

2. Regulation & Safety 

• Handle vehicle accidents, conduct investigations, prepare structured reports, and recommend preventive actions 
• Train and supervise drivers on safety, fuel efficiency, and proper driving practices 
• Monitor and enforce proper functionality of all vehicle safety systems 

3. Driver Management & Operations 

• Manage driver operations: monitoring licenses, qualifications, certifications, and required training 
• Track medical fitness for drivers 
• Monitor traffic violations 
• Conduct onboarding training for new drivers 
• Manage the electric charging infrastructure for employee homes and company sites—including installation, operation, coordination with service providers, data collection, and billing management 
• Oversee fuel management, toll systems, fines, and driver-related reports 
• Enforce company policies regarding vehicle usage 

4. Procurement & Budget Control 

• Manage contracts and relationships with vehicle service providers, insurance companies, fuel suppliers, parts vendors, and garages 
• Lead the fleet budget planning and monitor budget deviations 
• Handle insurance claims with insurers and leasing companies through full resolution 
• Conduct cost-benefit evaluations for vehicle renewals/replacements according to company policy 
• Produce periodic management reports on costs, availability, and breakdowns 

Success Metrics 

• Full compliance with safety and regulatory requirements 
• Reduction in breakdowns and accidents 
• 97% monthly availability of the entire vehicle fleet 
• Budget compliance, operational efficiency, and continuous cost savings
  

What You Need 

• Valid certification as a Safety Officer in Transport (קצין בטיחות בתעבורה) from the Ministry of Transport 
• Previous experience managing a fleet of 50+ vehicles (industrial environment – advantage) 
• Strong technical understanding of heavy and light vehicles, including forklifts 
• Proficiency with fleet management systems (Fleet Management) 
• Strong negotiation, planning, and budget monitoring skills 
• Excellent interpersonal skills, high level of organization, and strong sense of responsibility
